Roddy Collins has been appointed as general manager of Scottish First Division club Livingston.

The former Bohemians, Carlisle United, Dublin City and Shamrock Rovers manager joins the Scottish outfit as part of the deal that has seen Anthony McMullen buy a 50% stake in the club.

Collins will start work immediately and has signed a three-year deal at Almondvale.

The duo had been close to taking over at eircom League of Ireland First Division side Longford Town earlier this season.

Livingston, formerly known as Meadowbank Thistle before moving to West Lothian in 1995, finished seventh in the second tier of Scottish football this season.
