Jack McCarthy, the owner of Limerick 37, has announced that the club will revert to the name of Limerick FC next season.
Limerick 37 replaced Limerick FC in the eircom League of Ireland's First Division in December 2006 after Limerick FC were denied a league licence.
However, McCarthy confirmed today that Limerick 37 will now be rebranding themselves as Limerick FC in time for the start of next season.
McCarthy also announced that the new Republic of Ireland manager, Giovanni Trapattoni, is to attend a fund raising dinner for the club in October.
