Playing some brilliant football, promotion chasing Cobh Ramblers brushed aside the meek challenge of lowly Kilkenny City and fully deserved their resounding victory.
Kieran O'Reilly and Graham Cummins helped themselves to hat-tricks and a goal by John Kearney completed what was arguably Cobh's best performance away from home for many years.
To their credit, City never threw in the towel and battled gamely to the finish. It was bitter disappointment for the Cats who had won and drawn their last two games.
