John Robertson's Derry City side notched up their third consecutive win when they easily overcame the challenge of eircom League of Ireland Premier Division strugglers Bray Wanderers at the Brandywell tonight.
Defender Peter Hutton gave the home side a 16th minute lead when he headed Ken Oman’s near post flick from Kevin Deery's corner into the net past goalkeeper Chris O'Connor.
Both teams hit the woodwork early in the second half before Derry increased their lead in the 57th minute.
Killian Brennan floated the ball in from the left wing and striker Kevin McHugh gave O'Connor no chance with his powerful close range header.
And Derry wrapped up the points in the 65th minute when Sammy Morrow surged into the Bray penalty area before he calmly chipped the 'keeper from 15 yards.
