Sunderland chairman Niall Quinn has refused to admit defeat in his pursuit of Cork City striker Roy O'Donovan.
The 21-year-old Ireland B international appears to be on the brink of a move to Sunderland's Premier League rivals Fulham.
But Quinn told BBC Radio Five Live tonight: ‘The ball's still up in the air.
‘Roy (Keane) has expressed a keen interest and from what I've read the player is interested.
‘But we respect Cork City and know the player is under contract.’
