Fulham have emerged as favourites to sign Cork City striker Roy O'Donovan.
O'Donovan has scored 20 goals this season and has been scouted by teams from the Engligh Premiership, Championship and the Scottish Premier League.
Cork boss Damien Richardson told the Irish Examiner that a deal is imminent.
'We're not far from a decision,' said Richardson. 'I would like Roy to stay and finish his contract because we need his goals, but I'm also of the understanding that an offer from someone like Fulham is an enormous attraction. Nobody wants Roy to go - I'll stress that.
'I'm delighted we're getting respect from Fulham, Southend and Watford. They've been very professional. Clubs are aware we have something special here. We'll do our utmost to get what we want,' he added.
