Dermot Lennon has been appointed the new manager of eircom League First Division side Athlone Town.
Lennon, who played with the Westmeath club during his career, had been assistant to Michael O'Connor before his resignation.
Athlone chairman Ken Bryan said: 'The club is very happy with Dermot and his backroom team.
'We look forward to a strong finish to the season, and we hope to add more quality to the squad during the coming weeks.'
