Kilkenny City manager Brendan Rea has parted company with the club.
The former Kilkenny player has cited family commitments and pressure of work as his reasons for moving on.
In paying tribute to the work of Rea, club director Caroline Rhatigan said: 'Brendan is one of the gentlemen of the game and we wish him every success and happiness.'
Kilkenny expect to announce a successor to Rea within 24 hours.
City are currently bottom of the eircom League of Ireland First Division with two wins from 18 games.
