Athlone Town have parted company with manager Michael O'Connor by mutual consent.
Dermot Lennon and Gordon Brett will take charge of the first team with immediate effect.
Athlone chairman Ken Bryan said: 'I am saddened at Michael's departure as manager. Both Michael and the O'Connor family have given invaluable service to Athlone Town FC over many years, both on and off the pitch.'
O'Connor had been in the job since the beginning of the 2006 season but his side had won only one of their last five league games.
He had previously managed the club in the 90s and won promotion from the First Division in the 1993/94 season.
