Bayern Munich are closing in on a deal to take France winger Franck Ribery to the Allianz Arena.
Bayern have been busy since the end of the Bundesliga season and have already agreed deals for Fiorentina striker Luca Toni and Borussia Monchengladbach defender Marcell Jansen.
And it seems they have also snared Ribery with Marseille reportedly accepting a bid of £17million.
Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge admitted: ‘We are not far from a total agreement.
‘It is just a case of agreeing the small details.’
It is expected Ribery, like Toni, will undergo a medical in Munich on Thursday.
Bayern also have former winger Ze Roberto in their sights - the Brazilian is expected to return to Germany after a spell in his homeland with Santos - while the speculation linking Germany frontman Miroslav Klose with Ottmar Hitzfeld's side continues to run.
Klose's contract with Werder Bremen expires next summer and Bayern are hoping to get him on the cheap.
Bremen’s director of sport Klaus Allofs commented: ‘If a call were to come, I would not hang up.
‘I would listen to everything.’
