Pat Fenlon has resigned as manager of Derry City after just five months in the job, stating personal reasons.
Assistant manager Anthony Gorman is expected to take charge of first team affairs for this weekend's league clash with UCD at Belfield.
Fenlon took charge in December 2006, shortly after guiding Shelbourne to the eircom League title - their third championship in four years.
Before a ball was kicked in this season's eircom League Premier Division, Derry City were seen by many as favourites for the title, but the Brandywell outfit have struggled so far this term, and currently lie fifth in the table 11 points behind leaders St Patrick's Athletic.
