Wexford Youths made history at Finn Park as they recorded their first ever way win in the eircom League First Division.
Harps started promisingly but as the half progressed Wexford grew in confidence and Paul Malone and Joey Wadding both had chances.
But Harps really should have taken the lead on the stroke of half-time. Barry Curran broke down the right and crossed for the in-rushing John O'Loughlin but he somehow blasted the ball over the bar from inside the six-yard box.
And moments into the second-half O'Loughlin came within a whisker of scoring but again could not find the target as he fired just wide from inside the box.
Wexford then struck on the hour as the lively Malone rose to head home a free from Conor Sinnott.
Harps then had goalkeeper Gavin Cullen sent-off for taking down Johnny Flynn-O'Connor in the 69th minute and from the resulting penalty Conor Sinnott made it 2-0 to the visitors.
John O'Loughlin pulled one back for Harps in the 90th minute.
