Finn Harps beat Ulster Senior League side Fanad United 2-0 in a drab League Cup clash in Ballybofey.
Harps edged the first half and created the better chances before being awarded a penalty for handball against Arthur Lynch. However, Seamus Brown's spot-kick was saved by Darren Nash.
Harps broke the deadlock through Shane Holmes in the 57th minute and then sealed the issue in the 80th minute when Conor Gethins lobbed Nash for the second goal.
