Finn Harps 0-0 Monaghan United

A spirited display of goalkeeping from  Alvin Rouse earned Monaghan United a point from their trip to Finn Park.

The former Sligo Rovers man made a string of vital saves to frustrate the home side and left the home followers filing out of the ground a disappointed bunch.

As the tie neared conclusion, Rouse came to the rescue of his side as Harps surged forward and laid siege on his goal.

On 85minutes, he recovered well to deny Conor Gethins after spilling an attempt by Shaun Holmes and in the remaining five minutes, the Mons' netminder denied Stephen Parkhouse and Gethins with vital saves.
