Striker David Healy is ready to face Sweden in a crucial Euro 2008 qualifier on Wednesday in the scoring form of his life with Northern Ireland.
The striker's remarkable prowess in front of goal is in sharp contrast to his luck at struggling Coca-Cola Championship side Leeds.
But asked whether he preferred international football to club matches, Healy said: 'Not really as I enjoy any game.
'I got lucky early on (in the qualifiers) with a few goals and I have kicked on from there.'
Healy scored his second hat-trick of the campaign in the space of 30 second-half minutes in the 4-1 victory against Liechtenstein in Vaduz.
In the process he took his tally to 27 goals in 55 international appearances and Northern Ireland will go top of Group F if they defeat Sweden at Windsor Park.
Healy has scored all of his side's seven goals in the qualifiers - he also grabbed a hat-trick in the victory against Spain and the winner when they faced Latvia.
Considering the team once went 1,298 minutes with scoring and he played through those dark days, his record is even more astonishing.
Healy, however, was given the option of coming off by manager Lawrie Sanchez after his second goal against Liechtenstein but flatly rejected the idea.
'When you are a striker you don't have many chances to score a hat-trick at any level, never mind international level,' Healy told the BBC.
'The family were all there and I am a proud man.
'It is nice that the team are making a name for themselves.'
Healy made the breakthrough in the 52nd minute when slid the ball into the corner from the edge of the area after Peter Jehle had cleared Kyle Lafferty's effort with his feet.
He scored his second goal of the game in the 74th minute and it was a cool finish as well after a delightful through-ball from Keith Gillespie.
Healy completed his hat-trick in the 82nd minute, showing great composure after being released by Steve Davis as the goalkeeper looked on helplessly.
Franz Burgmeier pulled a goal back in stoppage time but substitute Grant McCann had the final word, the Barnsley midfielder heading home a cross from Gillespie.
Sanchez said: 'Grant's was the best goal of the game and I am pleased for him.
'He has been in and around the squad a long time and not won many caps but he has done very well coming off the bench.
'We have no doubts about his ability. It is just a matter of where we place him in the team.'
The only downside for Northern Ireland is that Gillespie is suspended for the game in midweek after picking up another yellow card on his 75th appearance.
Sanchez added: 'I am sure Sweden will be pleased Keith is missing but it gives someone a chance to come in and show what they can do.'
