Limerick 37 remain unbeaten in the First Division following a 2-0 win over Kildare County at Jackman Park.

Goals in either half from Dave Golbey and Padraig Moran secured the win for Paul Magee's side at the Lower Careys Road venue.

Golbey slotted home for close range following a flowing movemnet involving Brian Buckley and Kevin Waters down the left wing  in the 30th minute.

And man of the match Moran latched onto a flick on from Waters late on to outpace the visiting defence and seal the Blues second victory of the 2007 campaign.

Lims deserved this win but a lethargic start to the second half nearly cost them when first Owen Kavanagh volleyed wide and Padraig Amola almost took advantage of a mix up in the home defence.

Stephen McCrossan then flashed a low drive inches outside the far post and  Darren Stapleton's long throw in was allowed bounce across the six yard area.

The home side responded via Waters who's audacious volley from the left of the penalty area flew inches over the crossbar.

Kildare kept pressing however, forcing five corners in the opening 20 minutes of the second half and Sean L'Strange rifled a fierce volley straight at Limerick keeper Dave Ryan.

Limerick dominated the first half with captain Pat Purcell flashing a header from a Ross Cosgrave corner wide of target in the 3rd minute.

Waters then combined with Moran following a pass from Nigel Keady only to see his low drive saved by former Limerick  keeper Austin O'Neill mid way through the half.

Substitute Anthony Glasheen almost put the icing on the cake for the hosts in injury time but O'Neill came swiftly off his line to palm the ball to safety.
