The future of Shelbourne Football Club is still up in the air after the club were given a 24 hour extension to provide the FAI's Club licensing body with information they have requested.

Shels were asked to provide further information after the body expressed serious concerns about the club's situation at a meeting last week.

Shelbourne could face sanctions if it is proved that they failed to comply with licensing regulations in former applications for an FAI club licence, with either relegation to the First Division or the imposition of a points penalty from the start of the new season.
