Brazil international Gilberto returns for Arsenal tonight

Arsenal will be without forward Julio Baptista because of a groin problem for tonight's Carling Cup semi-final second leg against Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates Stadium.

Fellow Brazilian Gilberto is available again following a three-match suspension, so midfielder Cesc Fabregas could be rested.

Emmanuel Eboue (ankle) and Johan Djourou (hamstring) are also concerns, while Alexander Hleb (hamstring) faces several weeks out after his injury in the 2-2 draw at White Hart Lane.

Manager Arsene Wenger said: 'It will be a young side and an experienced bench.

'Julio Baptista will be absent. It is a big regret for me, because he has led the team recently with a huge spirit.

Wenger also confirmed: 'Gilberto is available again and will play.'

Ledley King's foot injury means he is set to miss the Emirates clash.

Ricardo Rocha or Anthony Gardner will replace the Spurs skipper as Michael Dawson's centre-back partner, with the tie poised at 2-2.

Striker Dimitar Berbatov (groin) is out but Mido should be fit to deputise despite picking up a knock to his back at the weekend.

Arsenal squad: Almunia, Hoyte, Toure, Senderos, Traore, Denilson, Gilberto, Fabregas, Diaby, Flamini, Aliadiere, Walcott, Adebayor, Randall, Poom, Connolly, Merida.

Tottenham Hotspur squad: Robinson, Cerny, Alnwick, Chimbonda, Lee, Assou-Ekotto, Dawson, Gardner, Rocha, Zokora, Huddlestone, Jenas, Lennon, Malbranque, Defoe, Keane, Mido, Ghaly, Murphy, Ziegler, Stalteri.
