Sunderland are in talks with Coventry City striker Stern John as manager Roy Keane attempts to add firepower to his promotion-chasing squad.
The Black Cats have agreed a deal with The Sky Blues and Keane is hopeful of making progress with the 30-year-old Trinidad and Tobago international today.
He said: 'We agreed a deal over the weekend for Stern John and we are trying to finalise that today. We are looking for somebody with a physical presence up front.'
