La Guen takes charge of Paris St Germain

Former Rangers manager Paul La Guen has been appointed coach of Paris St Germain, replacing Guy Lacombe less than two weeks after leaving Rangers.

Le Guen is a former PSG player who left the Ibrox side by mutual consent last week.

He endured a miserable spell at Ibrox but enjoyed great success at Lyon, leading the club to three successive Ligue 1 titles.

He replaces Lacombe who has left with PSG languishing in 17th position in the Ligue 1 table, just one place and two points above the relegation zone.

The final straw seems to have been the 2-1 home defeat to 10-man Valenciennes on Saturday
