Everton boss David Moyes has been hit by injury problems ahead of his side's FA Cup third-round clash with Blackburn at Goodison Park on Sunday.

James Beattie (calf), Mikel Arteta (ankle) and Nuno Valente (hamstring) all sat out of training and are rated doubtful for the all-Premiership affair.

However defender Alan Stubbs is available again after a knee injury and Nigerian teenager Victor Anichebe is expected to start again after his double against Newcastle.

Blackburn captain Lucas Neill will serve a one-match suspension for Sunday's FA Cup third-round tie at Everton after collecting five bookings for the season.

Striker Shabani Nonda is a doubt with a groin injury which forced him to miss the second half of the 3-0 New Year's Day victory at Wigan.

Long-term injured Ryan Nelsen, Steven Reid and Jason Roberts remain on the sidelines, although all are edging nearer a return.
