Sam Sodje will sit out Reading's home clash with West Ham United on Monday following his dismissal at Old Trafford yesterday.
The Reading defender was dismissed by referee Mike Dean for his second bookable offence just 10 minutes after his introduction as a second-half substitute.
Skipper Graeme Murty is a major doubt after limping off injured, although manager Steve Coppell has not revealed precisely what the problem was.
West Ham welcome back defender Paul Konchesky and midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker for the trip to the Madjeski Stadium after both missed the 1-0 home defeat by Manchester City through suspension.
Manager Alan Curbishley has a number of fitness concerns, however, after Danny Gabbidon limped off early after taking a knock against City, while fellow defender George McCartney missed the game through illness.
Striker Bobby Zamora was also absent because of a toe injury and is expected to be available but midfielder Javier Mascherano is still out having had a scan on an ankle injury.
