AC Milan have been hit by the news that striker Marco Borriello has been provisionally suspended.
The suspension comes after the 24-year-old tested positive for two substances, prednisone and prednisolone.
The test was carried out by the Italian Olympic's Anti-Doping body after the AC Milan v Roma match on November 11.
Now the player can not play until the case is dealt with.
'AC Milan is aware of the provisional suspension of player Marco Borriello and is sure that this event will be cleared up soon in the best manner possible,' said a brief statement on the club website.
