Boca Juniors have revealed that midfielder Fernando Gago is to join Real Madrid in a deal worth 20 million euro.
The 20-year-old is expected to be confirmed as a Real player on Friday after the Argentinian outfit agreed a deal made up of three phased payments.
According to a statement on Boca's official website: 'There will be nine million US dollars (around 6.8 million euro) cash, nine million more in one year and the resting nine million in two years' time.
'On Wednesday, a fax arrived at the club offices with the offer and it has been approved.
'Next week, a club representative will fly to Madrid to sign all the papers.'
Gago's departure comes just two days after Boca completed the signing of River Plate striker Gonzalo Higuain for 13 million euro.
