Paul Hegarty has been named as the new manager of Finn Harps.
Hegarty, who stepped down as assistant manager of Derry City after the FAI Cup triumph, signed a two year contract with the Donegal club.
Speaking at a press conference in Ballybofey, he said that he hoped to guide Harps back to the Premier Division.
Hegarty, who was assistant to Stephen Kenny at Derry City last season, said that talk of him moving to Dunfermline was a 'non-runner' as he was never going to leave his native Donegal.
His first priority is to speak with the first team panel as he hopes to re-sign the bulk of last season’s squad.
