Celtic manager Gordon Strachan has 'reluctantly agreed' to make midfielder Stephen Pearson available for transfer in the January window, according to the player's agent.
The 24-year-old has started only six games for the Hoops this season and was the subject of a £750,000 bid from Derby in August.
Pearson's agent Willie McKay told the Daily Record: 'Gordon Strachan has reluctantly agreed to let Stephen go in January if the price is right.
'Gordon understands Stephen's situation and it was a great meeting with the manager.
'The Celtic manager knows Stephen is a great professional, who has always been popular within Parkhead and among the Celtic fans.'
He added: 'But Gordon can't guarantee him a game every week, and while he would like to keep him at the club, he recognises Stephen needs first-team football.'
