The Republic of Ireland's Under-21 side comfortably beat Luxembourg 2-0 in a friendly clash in Mamer.
Second half goals by Anthony Stokes and Andy Keogh made sure of the victory for Don Givens' young Irish team, in a game watched by Republic of Ireland senior manager Steve Staunton.
Stokes had been denied an opener in the 18th minute after robbing defender Marc Binsgelb of possession - but goalkeeper Jeff Oster saved at the Irish striker's feet.
Gary Dicker missed out on a golden opportunity in the 37th minute when he got on the end of an Andy Keogh lay-off - but failed to finish from close range.
Stokes opened the scoring 69 seconds into the second half when he volleyed home from a left-wing cross by Conor Powell.
Arsenal starlet Stokes, currently on-loan at Falkirk, then hit the bar in the 57th minute with a lobbed effort which beat Oster all ends up.
Keogh added the second goal in the 63rd minute when he was brought down by Oster for a penalty and got up to convert the chance himself.
