Shaun Holmes is set to start in the absence of midfielder Killian Brennan – who has a stomach muscle problem - as Derry hope to narrow the gap on leaders Shelbourne to four points.

Brennan joins Paddy McCourt (hamstring) on the sidelines.

Sean Hargan (knee), Kevin Deery (hip) and Kevin McHugh (knee) face late fitness tests.

Skipper Michael McNamara (thigh) must prove his fitness if he is to start in the centre of Rovers' defence.
