Steve Staunton's Republic of Ireland restored some pride as they drew 1-1 with the Czech Republic at Lansdowne Road this evening.
Kevin Kilbane's 62nd minute strike put the hosts in front only for Jan Koller to respond two minutes later.
Robbie Keane scuffed an excellent headed opportunity in the dying minutes as the Czechs held out for the draw on a night when debutant Paul McShane crowned a superb display at centre back with the eircom Man of the Match award.
Ireland now have one point from three matches in Euro 2008 Qualifying Group D, with the Czechs topping the group on ten points.
