Republic of Ireland under-21 midfielder Gary Dicker bagged his first goals of the season as UCD claimed their first win at Belfield since last June by defeating Bray Wanderers 4-0 on Friday evening.
Having drawn their previous five matches on their home turf, 'College inflicted more misery on basement side Bray by recording their biggest victory of 2006.
Having shipped six goals last week to Cork, Wanderers are now without a success in their last 15 matches in all competitions and have not won on the road in the past 11 months.
UCD took a tenth-minute lead from a set piece.
Paul O'Reilly was booked for fouling Dicker. He picked himself up to rise in a crowded area and head in Alan Mahon's free-kick.
The Students doubled their lead five minutes before the interval.
Patrick Kavanagh's trickery took him clear on the right flank. His low centre wasn't cleared properly with defender Alan McNally slotting low to the net from ten-yards with a first time low finish.
The Students produced a carbon copy of their opener to make it 3-0 in the 56th minute.
A Mahon free allowed the unmarked Dicker to glance a header into the roof of the net.
They added a fourth ten minutes later. Dicker fed Kavanagh whose driven right wing centre was palmed down by Chris O'Connor with Derek Doyle rifling in the loose ball from 12 yards.
Dicker was denied a hat-trick in the 82nd minute as O’Connor parried his shot onto the crossbar.
