Portugal coach Luiz Felipe Scolari revealed that he would consider working for West Ham if Kia Joorabchian completes his takeover of the Premiership club.
Scolari is a close friend of Iranian businessman Joorabchian and the News of the World reported that the former Brazil boss would be willing to discuss joining him at the east London club.
Joorabchian, who played a key role in West Ham's signings of Argentina stars Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano in August, had an offer for the club rejected last year and is heading a consortium who are set to make another bid.
That would pave the way for Scolari to replace current manager Alan Pardew and the Brazilian told the News of the World: "Kia is my friend and we have been talking a lot recently.
'He has already approached me to work for him before and every offer he makes is respectful and deserves my attention.
'Right now I am still coaching Portugal but nothing is impossible and no door is closed.
'I often talk about jobs with Kia, if something was to happen in the future I'm sure we would discuss it.'
