West Ham United manager Alan Pardew hopes any takeover of the club can be completed quickly and with the minimum of fuss as the team struggle on the pitch.
A consortium led by Iranian businessman Kia Joorabchian - who part-owns new Hammers duo Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano - are reported to be close to making a bid to buy the club.
The east Londoners are 15th in the Barclays Premiership and have drawn one and lost three since the arrival of the Argentinian pair on transfer deadline day.
Pardew told the Daily Telegraph: 'I have made it clear to the chairman (Terence Brown) that if we can resolve this as quickly as possible, that would be the best scenario for everybody. He is aware of that and I believe that is what he is trying to achieve.'
