Cobh Ramblers grabbed a 92nd minute winner to deny bottom club Kilkenny City a share of the eircom League First Division points as they won 3-2 at Buckley Park.
In fact, on their second-half performance, City probably deserved to take the points as their strikers, notably John Brophy, squandered a series of gilt-edged chances.
Kilkenny were playing catch-up after only nine minutes when Gareth Cambridge finished a cross by Graham Cummins.
It was not until the 57th minute that Cummins gave Ramblers the cushion of a goal after a dreadful error by Liam Tiernan.
Then came City's fightback. Conor Buckley headed home a Brian King corner just a minute later and the teams were level after 79 minutes when Gary Deegan shot home from outside the area.
The upright and some wasteful play kept Cobh in the game until two minutes into injury-time when The Cats again shot themselves in the foot.
Darren Murphy took advantage of the mistake to complete a Houdini-like escape by the visitors.
