Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon expects the ongoing issue surrounding David Beckham's new contract to be resolved within the next three weeks.
Beckham's current four-deal deal runs out next summer, meaning he will be able to negotiate with any club in January.
Madrid are keen for the former England captain to remain at the Bernabeu and Calderon believes a resolution will be reached soon.
'In the next 15 or 20 days, it will be solved,' said Calderon on www.realmadrid.com.
'Because both (coach Fabio) Capello and the club are very happy with the player.'
Beckham joined Real from Manchester United in 2003 in a £24.5million deal, but has yet to win any major silverware in his time in Spain.
The 31-year-old recently admitted he was happy at Real and did not think he would ever return to England to play in the Premiership.
