Leeds United have completed the permanent signing of Blackburn Rovers midfielder Jonathan Douglas for an undisclosed fee.
The Republic of Ireland international, who spent the whole of last season on loan at Elland Road, has signed a three-year contract.
The 24-year-old made over 40 appearances for Kevin Blackwell's side last term and was in the starting line-up when they went down to Watford in the play-off final.
Blackwell was desperate to boost his midfield before the transfer deadline following news that Shaun Derry will be sidelined for up to four weeks after undergoing a hernia operation.
Steve Stone will miss the next five matches due to a torn abductor muscle, summer signing Kevin Nicholls is recovering from damaged knee ligaments and Blackwell has also lost the services of Eirik Bakke as the club can no longer afford to pay him.
