Drogheda United midfielder Paul Keegan wants his side to seek inspiration from Eircom League rivals Derry City as they bid to extend their UEFA Cup adventure at Dalymount Park tonight.
Drogs have the task of overturning a one-goal deficit against Norwegians IK Start in their eagerly-awaited second qualifying round second leg.
And Keegan believes they can learn a lot from the Candy Stripes, who smashed Scottish minnows Gretna 5-1 in their own first leg a fortnight ago.
Keegan told the Irish Sun: 'It looks like Derry are going to be in the first round proper after they battered Gretna in the first leg and it would be great to be there with them.
'Whether or not it happens this year remains to be seen but I can see an Irish side reaching the group stages of the UEFA Cup in the not-too-distant future.'
Captain Declan O'Brien misses out having failed to convince UEFA officials to bend the rules and allow him to figure after missing the first leg through injury.
