Noel O'Connor has commented on his departure yesterday as manager of Limerick FC.
He said: 'There has been a massive effort put in by everybody at the club in the past 15 months to reverse the fortunes of senior soccer in Limerick.
'Attempting to combine increasing business commitments and the increasing demands of managing an improving eircom League club was proving to be very difficult.
'I would like to think there that there are very solid foundations there now and the future looks bright for the club.
'I wish to thank everyone at Limerick FC who I have worked with and wish everyone at the club the best in the future.'
The Shannonsiders are expected to unveil an interim manager for the weekend’s meeting with UCD in the FAI Cup.
