Fenerbahce striker Nicolas Anelka expects to sign a four-year deal with Premiership side Bolton Wanderers early this week.
According to reports in France, the two clubs have agreed a fee in the region of E12million for the transfer of the Frenchman.
Anelka is keen to secure a return to England after new Fenerbahce coach Zico made it clear the 27-year-old striker was not part of his plans ahead of the new season.
'My wish is to return to the Premiership and it's about to materialise,' said Anelka in L'Equipe.
'I have agreed with Bolton the terms and conditions of a four-year contract.
'My desire to join this club is very strong and I hope everything will be sealed at the start of this week.'
Anelka, who has played 31 times for France but did not receive a call-up to Les Bleus' 2006 World Cup squad, has previously had spells in England with Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City.
He also had stints at Paris St Germain and Real Madrid.
