Newcastle United boss Glenn Roeder has received a triple injury boost ahead of tomorrow's Barclays Premiership opener against Wigan.
Three Irish internationals, goalkeeper Shay Given (back), full-back Stephen Carr (hamstring) and midfielder Damien Duff (groin) have all been passed fit.
Only Michael Owen (knee) and Kieron Dyer (hamstring) remain on the casualty list, with the England striker set to miss most of the season and Dyer due back in full training with four weeks.
Given's counterpart, Chris Kirkland, will make his Wigan debut tomorrow.
Three days after making his international bow for England against Greece, Kirkland will see senior action with his new club after arriving from Liverpool on a six-month loan.
Fitz Hall, Denny Landzaat, Emerson Boyce and £5.5million record signing Emile Heskey are also included by manager Paul Jewell, while Pascal Chimbonda is also expected to start after apparently making his peace with the club.
Newcastle squad: Given, Harper, Carr, Ramage, Bramble, Moore, Taylor, Boumsong, Babayaro, Parker, Emre, Solano, Duff, Butt, N'Zogbia, Milner, O'Brien, Pattison, Ameobi, Luque.
Wigan squad: Kirkland, Pollitt, Filan, Boyce, De Zeeuw, Hall, Baines, Chimbonda, Johansson, Scharner, Skoko, Landzaat, Kavanagh, McCulloch, Cywka, Camara, Valencia, Heskey, Connolly, Wright, Jackson.
