Derry City manager Stephen Kenny believes a positive approach is essential if his side are to take the significant scalp of former winners Gothenburg at The Brandywell in their UEFA Cup clash tonight.
Sean Hargan's late header grabbed the Eircom League side a famous 1-0 victory at the Ullevi Stadium a fortnight ago but Kenny is convinced any attempt to cling on to that advantage would cost his side dear.
Kenny told the Derry Journal: 'It is important that we believe in ourselves, show no fear and continually strive to cause Gothenburg problems.
'We respect the fact they are a formidable opponent but we certainly will not go out with an inferiority complex. Ideally we will create scoring opportunities and record another historic night.'
Defender Peter Hutton and midfielder Killian Brennan are struggling with knee injuries but the likes of Stephen O'Flynn, Mark Farren and Ciaran Martyn are standing by to step in.
Fellow eircom League side Drogheda have the chance to claim a famous scalp against HJK Helsinki after coming desperately close to earning a first leg advantage a fortnight ago.
Drogheda will fancy their chances after Shane Robinson's superb first half strike gave them the advantage in Finland only for Markus Halsti to salvage a draw for the home side six minutes from time.
