Waterford United manager Mike Kerley has announced three signings for the Blues.
Alan Reynolds has rejoined the club after spending the last year at Shelbourne. The former Blues player-manager has signed a contract that will keep him at Waterford United until the end of the 2007 season.
Kerley has also managed to secure the signature of Waterford Crystal defender Mitchell Casey who has also signed a contract until then end of next season.
Casey, who won a unique double of SFAI under 16 National Cup and the FAI Junior Cup medals with Waterford Crystal this season, is considered to be one of the brightest prospects in Waterford.
And it has also been confirmed that Shelbourne player James Chambers will rejoin the Blues on loan till the end of the season.
Chambers has been with the club on loan until 1 July when the loan deal expired and he returned to Dublin but both clubs have reached agreement on a new loan deal and he will be back in the squad for Friday's game against Sligo Rovers.
'This is a great day for Waterford United,' commented Mike Kerley. 'We have been lacking experience in the team and Alan's decision to rejoin the club is a boost for everyone at Waterford United.'
'I am happy to return to the Blues,' said Reynolds. 'I believe that I still have something to offer the club and I will give 100% to help Waterford United through its present situation. This club has been such a major part of my life and I am so glad to be returning the RSC. I look forward to pulling on the blue jersey and hopefully my experience will be of major benefit to the Blues.'
