Linfield manager David Jeffrey admits preparations for his side's Champions League qualifier tomorrow have been hampered by a lack of knowledge about Slovenian side Gorica.
The Irish Premier League winners are hoping to spring some surprises in the preliminary rounds of Europe's elite competition but they have been unable to find out much about their first opponents.
Slovenia's top side are due at Windsor Park for the first leg of their first qualifying round tie tomorrow evening with the return next Wednesday.
Jeffrey told the Belfast Telegraph: 'This game has turned into a little bit of a walk in the dark for us.
'But we are all looking forward to the game and pitting ourselves against a very good side.
'They are the Slovenian champions and have been for some time so that certainly tells us a lot.
'I can't imagine we could have been presented with a more tougher test but the boys are in great shape and ready to cause a few more upsets.'
The Blues have a number of absentees with Oran Kearney, Andy Hunter and new signing Timmy Adamson injured, Michael Gault suspended and Glenn Ferguson on holiday.
Another new recruit, Mark Dickson, is set to partner Peter Thompson in attack.
