Drogheda United have moved quickly to replace injured striker Declan O'Brien by signing Bray Wanderers hitman Eamon Zayed.

O'Brien is expected to miss the rest of the season after fracturing his jaw in two places following a collision with Bray goalkeeper during the Drogs' 1-0 victory on Sunday.

Zayed joins league chasing Drogheda for an undisclosed fee and has signed a deal that will keep him on Boyneside until 2008.

Drogheda expect to have Zayed registered in time for their UEFA Cup game on Thursday.
