Drogheda United have been dealt a major blow with the news that captain Declan O'Brien may be out for the rest of the season with a broken jaw.
The striker departed in the first-half of their 1-0 win over Bray after colliding with Wanderers 'keeper Chris O'Connor.
'It's a desperate injury for him. He's broken the jaw in two places and will have to have an operation,' revealed United boss Paul Doolin.
It may prompt the FAI and Setanta Cup champions to dip into the transfer market, with Bray's Eamon Zayed a likely target.
