Gary O'Neill has returned to light training for Shelbourne but will not feature for the Dubliners as they take on Odense BK of Denmark in the Intertoto Cup second round tomorrow.
Shels have a full squad to select from for the away leg with the exception of O'Neill, who is now making tentative steps back to fitness after suffering a knee injury.
Manager Pat Fenlon said: 'It's no secret that we'll be sticking with our 4-5-1 formation, but with 21 players all pushing for a starting place we'll see how training goes before picking the team.'
The biggest competition for places will be across the middle, where Alan Moore, Liam Kearney, Stuart Byrne, Greg O'Halloran, Richie Baker, and Gary Deegan, will vie with Bobby Ryan, Alan Reynolds, Joey Ndo and Ollie Cahill for inclusion.
