Hearts head coach Valdas Ivanauskas has been warned by club owner Vladimir Romanov that he must deliver the Bank of Scotland Premier League title next season.
The new boss has also been told by his Lithuanian compatriot he must also secure their place the group stages of the Champions League.
Ivanauskas - who took charge of team affairs on an interim basis for the last ten games of the season - was handed the post on a permanent basis yesterday.
Former Belarus boss Eduard Malofeev has been brought in as sporting director, while John McGlynn remains at Tynecastle as part of the backroom staff.
But Hearts majority shareholder Romanov has set tough targets for his new management team.
He said: 'Valdas was very effective in running the team at the end of the season. Everything went smoothly and we won the Scottish Cup. The team accepted Valdas and got used to him.
'His authority is firm and he is also full of drive and energy. To compensate for his lack of experience, I have invited Eduard to work with him.'
He added: 'They are tasked, together with John McGlynn, to win the SPL and reach the group stages of the Champions League.'
