Champions Cork had talisman George O'Callaghan sent off after half an hour as they lost their leadership of the Premier Division table after a scoreless draw at Dalymount Park.

Booked on 14 minutes for a robust challenge on John Paul Kelly, midfielder O’Callaghan clattered into the Bohs winger again on the half hour and was rightly sent off.

In a much improved display by a rejuvenated Bohs, Cork keeper Michael Devine had to make a terrific one-handed save to keep out a Stephen Ward header after seven minutes. And though Vinny Arkins followed up to put the ball in the net it was disallowed for offside.

An equally good stop by Stephen O'Brien at the other end on 42 minutes thwarted John O'Flynn.

The second half was a huge disappointment as Cork were content to play on the break with Bohs offering little by way of breaking them down as the game petered out to its unsatisfactory conclusion.
