Lester's spot-kick seals Limerick victory

John Lester drilled home a 77th minute penalty as Limerick FC came from behind to move five points clear at the top of Divison One with a 2-1 win over Kilkenny.

Tommy Barrett had restored parity for the league leaders with a powerful header from a Kevin Waters free-kick just before the break.

Peter Darcy fired the Cats into a 14 minute lead courtesy of a brilliant 25 yard drive which free into the top right-hand corner of the net.

Aaron Mooney had a header ruled out for pushing just before half-time but Limerick were unlucky midway through the second when Barrett's header hit the crossbar midway through the second half when Barrett's header came back off the bar and Shane Guerin saw his effort cleared off the line from rebound.
