Otto Pfister is about to make a shock U-turn and take charge of Togo when they make their World Cup bow against South Korea tomorrow.
The German coach quit last week following a dispute over unpaid bonuses.
But Togo's football federation moved quickly to try and lure him back. Pfister's shock return is expected to be confirmed later today.
FTF spokesman Messan Attolou said: 'We are talking to Otto at this moment. There is no agreement yet but hopefully we will be able to confirm his re-appointment later.'
