Brazilian superstar Ronaldo has given the team another scare after missing Thursday's training session with a fever.

The population of the German town of Konigstein were expecting to see the Real Madrid striker training, but despite his absence, the Brazilian Football Confederation are confident he will be fit later this week.

"Fever will not allow forward Ronaldo Luiz Nazario de Lima (Ronaldo's full name) to train," confirmed a CBF statement.

"The player woke up with a low fever but will be able to take part in the national team training session at Kickers Stadium."

The 29-year-old had only just recovered from blisters on his feet, which were a result of wearing new boots.

However, he is still expected to face Croatia on June 13 in Berlin.
